Porseg - Sistemas de Segurança, S.A. is a Portuguese company that is devoted to the production, commercialization and installation of any kind of technical doors such as fire rated, acoustic, high security armored and bulletproof.
We started our activity in 1840 under the name Jotocar and in 1980 we became part of the French multinational Fichet Bauche. In December 1996, the family Rebello de Andrade became the principal owner until today, adopting the name Porseg - Sistemas de Segurança S.A.
During all these years, we have maintained cooperation agreements and technology transfer with large multinational companies such as Lutermax, that is now part of the Novoferm Group, and Fichet, that belongs to the Assa Abloy Group and which we have the exclusive representation in the Portuguese, Angolan, Mozambican and soon Colombian markets. We also represent exclusively in these markets the Belgian company De Coene, specialized in wooden technical doors, as well as the German company MBB, specialist glazed fireproof.
We are leaders in the production and distribution of technical doors in Portugal since its foundation, displaying a complete range of products homologated according to the strictest European standards. Throughout all these years, we have actively collaborated with the greatest Portuguese architects, who have applied Porseg products in the largest buildings of the country such as hospitals, schools, sports venues, subway stations, theatres, cinemas, hotels, malls, hypermarkets, commercial buildings, banks' headquarters and agencies and urbanizations or housing developments.
In 2005, we decided to expand our business across frontiers in partnership with the Portuguese company transport management Pinto Basto, creating Porseg Pinto Basto in Luanda. Installed in facilities with a total area of 10 000 m2, we are already leaders in the Angolan market, having cooperated in the most important works such as the headquarters of TOTAL, Clínica Girassol (largest private hospital in Africa), the remodeling of the airports in Luanda and Benguela and, more recently, the National Assembly, among others.
In March 2012, we created the R&D department devoted to the development of new products and the consequent projection of the brand, working to satisfy the demanding necessities of todays market. In consequence of this investment in new products, in 2013 we were awarded the international Red Dot Design Award attributed to new door Plano.
